Fortress of Louisbourg

A deachment of the Gallian garrison from the Fortress of Louisbourg upon its march. It is returning from the cove where it was posted to observe possible Britannian descents.

Actually this is a test to insert photos.
Uniform in the lead is from French battalion La Sarre. Note the off-white (not grey in any way at all) coat.
Votre Serviteur,
Bill

Photo looks great. I feel they really add another dimension to the Blogs. I also love the 18th century engravings others use especially for buildings and Cities.
Are we to have a Louisberg Blog developing from this for our edification and entertainment- it would be superb!
