Out of Character..

Gentlemen,
I trust this finds you all in good health! I write requesting your potential interest in the possibility of extending this Blog into the realm of Colonies. There has been some debate/discussion in this direction on the OSW group. I wondered if we were interested in seeing what colonies our states had in America. They could interact there as they do in Europa...
It is merely a thought and I await your interest or otherwise.
Best Wishes
Alan

Alan did "pre-clear" this post with me, by the way.

One idea that may excite some of you is that countries with a colony in the "New World" will then perhaps have access to some native troops for their Europa armies.

Just a thought.

Both Emperor and Elector did experiment with colonies in the Americas.

However only really powerful maritime powers (meaning those with large coastlines and thus a 'blue water' fleet) should be handling true overseas colonies.

The 'spice' islands are a different story and as such nearly everyone could be in on some such intrigues in the 'west indies'.

Batrachia, with it's small coastline known as the Petit Cote, has colonies in the Bagatelles, a group of islands in the Carobbean(pronounced "carob bean") Sea. The islands are comprised of the Greater and Lesser Bagatelles. The islands are the source of cocoa, sugar and coffee for Batrachia.

The Soweiter League has no colonies, but instead trades with the Victorian Empire and other nations for supplies of cocoa, coffee, tea, sugar, spices and other goods.
