My Most Esteemed Hamhock,

I contact you on behalf of our ruler, the fair Princess Antonia. The Electorate of Zichenau wishes to examine the possibility of establishing diplomatic ties and trade relations with Clove-Hamhock forthwith. We are most interested in crafting a diplomatic and, perhaps, military alliance to counter the efforts of our neighbor to the north -- the expansionist and imperialistic Grand Duchy of Stollen -- who currently occupies the mineral-rich province of Schleiz. The area is also well-forested and yields considerable game and lumber. Many of the fir and spruce trees are large enough for shipwrights around Northern Europe to fashion masts from the trunks. Significantly, Schleiz is the rightful and historical possession of our own Electorate. Please contact me at your earliest convenience via courier and/or envoy, so that our two fine countries might begin formal talks centered around the issue of our cooperation against the tyrannical Grand Duke Irwin-Amadeus II. He is not as terminally befuddled as he seems initially!
