The Royal Tourists are safe, thanks to the sacrifice of the escort. This may not suffice to abort a very chaotic diplomatic thunderstorm!
And this is a shameful failure of our agents supposed to scout in advance of the Royal party. Hopefully (yes, hopefully) an heroic death prevented them from warning the travelers.
