Being in the nature of a genial location for imaginary nations of the Eighteenth Century to carry out diplomatic affairs . . . (not the place for rule discussions, miniature manufacturers, painting reports, history of your country or other things that belong on your personal blogs).

Surely, the escort was delayed for benign reasons. Perhaps young Basil will meet the duke when he arrives in Cavenderia.
Hopefully not!
Story reason will come up after Thursday.
Real reason: over worked at school. The last two weeks before spring break are usually heavy. Sorry for that.
An infortunate contre-temps - yet we still hope both will come together to Monte-Cristo.
We are furiously preparing for the Reich Duke's visit. I am disappointed that young Basil will not be accompanying the Reich Duke since I had almost finished painting a figure to represent him. :^(
Later,
Jim
I will try to salvage this situation so the people that made preparations aren't put off. Probably have Basil trail the Duke in a vain attempt to apologize, which might lead to other adventures.
I do apologize though for not being prompt with the story. I just didn't find the time to sit down and brainstorm and write it. It's no excuse, I should had made the time, but I didn't and I apologize profoundly to all who were let down. But my primary free time(such as it is) is devoted to painting and social necessities.
Taking that into consideration I shouldn't had been so cavalier with promises. Capt Bill I especially apologize to you. I know servicemen and servicewomen value time and punctuality, but I didn't factor it in my calculations. I am sorry.
I will try to make some kind of amend in the finally imminent spring break.
No hard feelings, I am sure it was just a reaction by the Reich Duke for being snubbed not actually capt. bill.
