Is this another call for 'volunteer' minis?

Could it be a rally cry for a new 'battle by proxy?'

The Reich Duke has about 30,000 minis and has no more room to house additional troops. In an effort to establish diplomatic ties with friendly realms, many of our senior officers were posted to the courts of our allies. We think the dreaded Prussians saw this as an opportunity to renew hostilities. Several recent battles are posted on the Duke's blog and we believe the army's performance reflects our lack of experienced gererals.

The Empress, the Merry Teaser, would proffer the services of
* Picklemany (2): Competent. Good leader, but tends to be conservative in approach to campaigns.
In tactical matters, he is perhaps one of our best learned and most versatile commanders. Fluent in Deutsch, French, Italian, and Turkish ... and can issue standard commands in English and Hungarian!

On Behalf of her Sublime Majesty,
M. Gen. Schnitzelen

Cousin,
Beerstein gratefully accepts General Piclemany and invests him into the Order of the Goblet. His fluency in Hungarian is desperately needed as our commander of the Hungarian Brigade was seriously wounded at Hopsberg. Although the battle was a hard fought draw, the Hungarians proved more than a match for the dreaded Prussians. Under his leadership, we expect even greater glory as the campaign progresses.
Your servant,
Wilhelm von Beerstein

The Elector of Hannunter would be willing to let either of the following two officers broaden their military experience under the command of Reichsherzog Wilhelm:

Gen der Brigade Konrad Olfermann (Veteran). Stolid, unimaginative, but will carry out his orders without deviation. leads by display of grit and courage. Down to earth, 'can't be doing with all this literature stuff'. Not recommended for cavalry command, but excels as a leader of foot. Speaks Deutsch, Plattdeutsch, French and English, with a smattering of Hollands and Spanish.

Gen der Brigade Lothar von Blutundedonner (Trained). Fiery, hot-tempered and proud. Mercurial, imaginative, tends to recklessness, occasionally departs from his orders because he thinks he knows better (he has the infuriating habit of being right - most of the time). An outstanding horseman, and capable of leading a Brigade of Horse or Dragoons, but may need watching to ensure his compliance with instructions. A favourite of Her Grace. Cultured and well-read . Fluent in Classical Greek, Latin, French, Spanish and Deutsch. Has a basic command of English.

The Principality of Saxe-Bearstein is willing to send Maj. General Adolph von Coors to aid you.

He has now recovered from his recent wounds and is seeking action.

Under our rules, von Coors has a "Careful" personality with an above average initiative (2 in our rules) and a command radius of 11" (about average).

Dear Cousin, We humbly accept your kind offer of Gen der Brigade Lothar von Blutundedonnerour. Our Dragoons were roughly handled at Hopsberg and I fear our esteemed general is too old for the rigors of a long campaign.Gen der Brigade Lothar von Blutundedonnerour will be invested into the Order of the Goblet and I shall keep you informed of his glorious service.

Ah, quite a wonderful collection of talent! just wish we were all healthy and wealthy enough to meet in face to face for this!

BTW, this whole post and sequence ought to be transferred into the Imperial Blog, as all of these fine individuals are essentially joining the Viennese struggle versus the Prussic Barline tyrant ....

But now I've got a lovely idea for Frankszonia, thanks to Willhelm ... the Grand Order of the Giblet!

He is also... how shall I put it...? Rather too much of a favourite of her Grace. An extended period of active service should have the desirable effect of concentrating his mind most wonderfully. So, Cousin it seems we are both well served. A most satisfactory state of affairs.
