Shortly after the Battle of Waldeck, reported here and on the Campaigns in Germania blog and Der Alte Fritz Journal, the forces of the
Electorische Armee Thueringen and the
Reichsarmeeabteilung Obere-Sachsen collided at the little village of Hesselbach near Schweinfurt.
